These Sneakers Offer an Adult Version of Light-Up Sneakers

— September 27, 2016 — Fashion
Called 'Illumi,' these light-up sneakers are a far cry from the ones that most people had or longed for as children.

The brand came out with an objective to create light-up sneakers that did not require the use of LED dots to emit a glow, but rather that feature a singular LED strip. After four years of research and prototyping, Illumi came together. The shoes come in classic sneaker forms that come in either black, white or both -- and each of the shoes are surrounded by a thin strip of LED lighting. The lights are turned on or off using a hidden button that is placed on the sole of the shoe's platform.

These light-up sneakers offer a sophisticated interpretation of what is normally considered to be a children's fashion statement.
