Belgian award-winning designer and artist Natalia Brilli takes everyday objects and uses her amazing touch with precious leather to create what can only be described as functional sculptures.
Her pieces feature embossed designs that make sense for the individual leather piece. For example, Brilli's sunglass case is embossed with a pair of Wayfarer-style sunglasses. And her leather wallet is embossed with credit cards and coins.
Implications - Consumers who live in urban areas are constantly engaged with others, making it easy to mix up their belongings with others. For this reason, they yearn for products that are customized or personalized, making them easily distinguishable. Companies should keep this in mind when designing their products if they wish to appeal to urban demographics.
