Noori is Not Just a Barbecue but a Pizza Oven and Fire Pit
Laura McQuarrie — October 4, 2019 — Art & Design
Noori was created based off of the classic rocket stove design but offers much more value than the traditional concrete barbecue. The design goes back to the time when people relied on the ritual of cooking with fire and multipurpose design "breaks the limitations of a standard barbecue," according to designer Eduardo Gayotto, by also doubling as a pizza oven and fire pit.
The unit itself boasts a curved shape made from heat-resistant concrete and an internal L-shaped pipe that helps to direct the heat generated by the fuel upwards to the surface of the grill. This unique design creates heat without the smoke that comes from conventional barbecues, offering a novel way to prepare everything from pastas and pizzas to meats and grilled vegetables.
