This flighty 'A Pair and A Spare' Shoe Tutorial is for the fashion-forward. The playful DIY was created by the fashion blog A Pair and A Spare. The blog run by Australian-born resident DIYer for Harper's BAZAAR Style Network Geneva has incredibly chic projects. According to her website, Geneva's believes in having "a sustainable approach to fashion and revels in making old new and on-trend using sewing, beading, studding, refashioning and a host of other projects."
After seeing the feathered heel trend at Peter Som and Sergio Rossi shows, Geneva gave it a whirl and had incredible results. The tutorial is a great way to revive those tired and boring heels. While not for DIY newbies, this project adds a feathery embellishment to classic black stilettos. Though if you want to be very adventurous, adding a pop of color would add some extra pizazz.
