June 29 is the release date for Apple's highly anticipated iPhone. AT&T stores nationwide are gearing for the 6:00 PM "sharp" launch time by closing the stores starting at 4:30 to prepare for the onslaught of technophiles.

Gridskipper.com has posted the Ultimate iPhone Campout Guide to map out urban Apple Store hotspots where shoppers can be first in line for the trendy gadget. Some locations are already working with local law enforcement to plan for crowd control.

AT&T Wireless has added 2,000 more salespeople to their retail stores in preparation for iDay.
