Curvaceous Cosmos Clocks

The Milky Way Alarm Clock by Henrik Amberla

The Milky Way clock is an alarm clock designed by Finnish design student Henrik Amberla as an exercise in form. The shape of the timepiece is supposed to reflect the sleep/wake cycle and its duality and unity.

Anberla’s Milky Way clock turns. The unique turning motion triggers the snooze function, as well as helps to set the clock’s time and alarm. One can only assume that the smooth, sleek shape of the timepiece was inspired by the universe that we inhabit.
