Hip-Hop Denim Couture

Blues Remixed in the Jean-Paul Gaultier Spring 2010 Collection

Maybe he was influenced by his young Hollywood audience of Rihanna and Katy Perry, but the Jean-Paul Gaultier Spring 2010 Collection, ‘The G-Spot,’ was a mix of lingerie and performer-RTW.

The first half of the Jean-Paul Gaultier Spring 2010 show was particularity focused on denim and how it can make you look like THE cool kid. He styled classic overalls with gold chains, tattoos, and top caps, in a clear nod to hip-hop culture.  To take it further, he paired some shredded denim styles with leggings that had been printed with a psychedelic, indigo ink swirl. Dreamy indeed.
