Fashion Week Soundtrack

Spring / Summer 2007 Runway Music

I derive a lot of pleasure from listening to new music and then comparing my musical taste to that of other people. I stumbled across a blog featuring all the jams from the Spring/Summer 2007 runways in Paris, London, Milan, and New York. I got a kick out of seeing what all the fashion designers had playing this season... some real hits and some really old tracks. I can't say that I favor all of it.

Here are some of the highlights:

The Hot (and Questionable) Artists: Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani, Paris Hilton, and The Gossip

Exciting and Surprising: Hot Chip, The Earlies, CSS, Of Montreal, The Go! Team, and Sondre Lerche

Solid Staples: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Iggy Pop, David Bowie, Muse, The Cure, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, and Simon and Garfunkel

Check out the rest of the soundtrack, it's pretty interesting.
