Jeff Koons is one of the best selling artists alive today, and his new Popeye collection has been highly anticipated since he started creating them in 2002.
“Popeye the Sailor is a fictional hero famous for appearing in comic strips and animated films as well as numerous television shows,” Wikipedia says. He was created by Elzie Crisler Segar, and first appeared in the daily King Features comic strip Thimble Theatre on January 17, 1929.”
In July, Jeff Koons will be showing his work at the Serpentine Gallery in England, in a show that will run until September 13. So, chow down on some spinach, and come on down!
