Bar El Tubo was made in a neoclassical palace built in 1820 to host an orphanage. The project, designed by architects Assad Felipe and Francisca Pulido, lies in two rooms on the second floor of one of the palace’s wings.
Absolutely everything in this amazing modern bar, from its furniture to its cutlery, was designed to subordinate the idea of fluidity. Surfaces are painted in stark bright white and illuminated in eerie sci-fi purple.
The Bar El Tubo concept is based on a simple yet stunning idea. A tubular container, which houses the inside of the bar and an exhibition of art, simply crosses the palace steps. The two elements flow independently into a tube. The design is a very abstract and in line with the rest of the premises, a very aesthetic, clean design.
