As opposed to visualizations by artists from decades gone by, computers are clearly being used now, and the visions are so much more extreme than in the past. Are they more accurate? Well, who can say? I do know that while awesome and brilliantly geeky, they hold none of the charm that visions of the future from yesteryear give out.
