Packaging as Cutlery

SpoonLidz Fold-Out Spoons Under the Lid

The packaging becomes the eating utensil with SpoonLidz. Individual yogurt or ice cream containers are already designed to come with a lid that seals the product in. These lids take it one step further with a sturdy fold-out spoon shape that replaces a plastic spoon which would just be thrown away.

The California based SpoonLidz was founded by designer Peggy Cross. With two boys of her own, she knows the value of convenience for the working parent or on-the-go professional.

Cross imagines SpoonLidz being used in anything in a single serving package, like pudding, pet food, baby food, or applesauce. They would be perfect for use in airline and vending machine food.
