Rotting Skullptures

Macabre and Bizarre Cranial Art is Both Feminine and Freaky

These skulls by a skull artist known as Jim are some of my favorite... ever. There are several series of these skulls in different colors and textures.

Some are really morbid and have a feel of rotting flesh. But others, such as the skull in blue, manage to make this macabre shape fairly feminine and soft in appearance.

Implications - The skull is a shape of fascination for most consumers, as it represents death, darkness and the simple fact that underneath all of the makeup and material things, human beings are just beings. Use of the skull and associated imagery in ad campaigns or products creates an instant sense of edginess.
