Shin Tanaka Collaborates with Giant Robot Magazine for These Toy Bots

The excellence of Japanese paper toy creator Shin Tanaka reaches well beyond toys and graphics and into other mediums such as sneakers, magazines and creative art collaborations. I love his unique style and use of colors.

This cool paper toy robot is a collaboration with the LA-based magazine Giant Robot and Japanese car manufacturer Scion. The Giant Robot Magazine features various cut-out templates of Shin Tanaka’s exciting paper toys.

In each of the last two issues of Giant Robot (56th and 57th issue), the magazine has released one of his paper toy templates. The last and third paper toy template is made available in Giant Robot’s 58th issue, which will hit the streets on February 9th.

Eager toy fanatics who have collected, cut out and built all three paper toys can pride themselves with being able to assemble them into one larger toy. This is the 4-in-1 Robot. Geeky? Just a bit, but it's cool.
