Sculptures from Scientific Data

Global GDP, Derivatives Converted to 3D Masterpieces

Science and art usually don’t go the same way, and while we may talk about analogies between the two, it’s an entirely different thing to find an innovation that fits in perfectly as both science and as art. German artist Andreas Nicolas Fischer went ahead and created sculptures based on scientific data.

Using data and statistics, the artist sculpted the stock market indices, the world’s GDP, the world’s derivatives volume and also his own telecommunications data. Fischer has used scientific data for many sculptures, and his talent makes the science-art combo awesome.
