The gateway into the Copenhagen harbor may get a radical new landmark thanks to Steven Holl Architects and their 'LM Project.' The design firm has unanimously won a competition to create a remarkable entrance to the waterfront of Denmark's capital city.
Holl's design includes two stunning glass office towers surrounded by public spaces and linked by a public pedestrian bridge 65 meters above the water. The walkway would be lined with wind turbines which will power the lighting in the civic terraces.
"Due to the site geometry, these bridges meet at an angle, joining like a handshake over the harbor," says the design firm.
