Spring 2009 could see a new cosmetics trend: colored eyebrows. As our fashion savvy editor Bianca observed on runway at the Diesel Black Gold show in New York last week, “is it me, or did the blonde models, like Natasha Poly, sport dark silver eyebrows?” The models were indeed sporting colored eyebrows. Not just silver, mind you; blue, violet and pink were also observed.
At Diesel Black Gold, makeup artist Val Garland explained the look. “It’s very young. It’s all about the eyebrow. There’s a nod to Alice Cooper. It’s all about magenta and peacock blue eyebrows,” Garland says, as noted on Modern Magik.
I also found other fashionistas going with this look. Gala from GalaDarling matched her eyebrows with her cool blue new hair color after being inspired by multi-talented and stunning Coilhouse staff member Zoetica Ebb. Singer Kylie Minogue also tinted her brows for a promotional photo for her TV show.
