Getting Freaky With Mannequins & Animals

Rihanna's Disturbia Music Video

From simulated love scenes with a plastic mannequin to kissing wolves and having tarantula spiders on her body, Rihanna sheds her somewhat-clean image with the dark and enticing music video of her new single, Disturbia.

If all that is not enough to shock or disturb you, Rihanna makes good on the song’s name by appearing in various torture positions. In the music video directed by the talented photographer/director David LaChapelle, her arms are bound to a horizontal stick behind her back in one scene, while she is shackled to the floor in a room with a super low ceilings which force her to bend and contort her back.

I have to say that this music video transcends its main function, which is a visual companion to the single. Instead, it evolves into a captivating piece of art on its own. With Rihanna playing both the master and slave in the dungeon themed video, we are treated to a visual extravaganza of something dark and macabre yet sensual and captivating.
