Renovating Religion Part II

Converted Churches as Hotels

Less people go to church today, hence these buildings are often converted to other uses. Some of them for instance become hotels, and here are a few examples.

Located in the heart of Royal Deeside, Scotland, the Auld Kirk is a fine example of a Victorian Scottish Free Church building.
Converted into a small 'Restaurant with Rooms, it has built a reputation for fine local food, high standard accommodation and a warm welcome in line with Scottish hospitality.

The College of The Holy Spirit, attached to the Cathedral of The Isles (Island of Cumbrae, UK) is Britain's smallest cathedral, converted to a small hotel. It offers to its guests rooms alongside alter and homemade meals, in a unique combination of modern luxury, and is also available for conferences, weddings, retreats and seminars.

The Old Church of Urquhart, located in Scotland (UK) dates back to 1843 and is endowed with a 70ft tower. On top of a small hillock the church offers open, uninterrupted views of the beautiful countryside, and it is particularly suitable for weddings, since bell ringing can also be arranged.
