Fighter Gifts creates miniatures of airplanes and submarines and makes them available to those who want a real plane of their own but can not afford one.
The miniatures are made out of either wood, fibreglass, plastic, metal or combination of two or more materials. Simple designs cost from Dhs150 while custom-made models and collector's items can cost more than Dh3,600.
The Abu Dhabi miniature company is owned by Salah Saeed Al Meharesi, a former pilot of UAE Air Force. As having spent 17 years flying jets, it is easy for him to design exact replicas of airplanes.
