Carl's Jr. is making vegetarians happy with the debut of its new veggie-forward Zucchini Star burger.

Carl's Jr. recently discontinued its plant-based Beyond Burger, but has decided to fill the gap on its menu with a brand-new vegetarian offering. The new Zucchini Star burger boasts a layer of crispy-fried zucchini pieces paired with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, sliced onions, dill pickles, Special Sauce, and mayo, all served on a toasted sesame seed bun. The burger is essentially the brand's Famous Star burger, but with fried zucchini instead of the usual burger patty.

Perfect for vegetarians and flexitarians alike, the new Zucchini Star burger offers consumers a meatless burger option that leans into real veggie flavors instead of a faux-meat patty like the Beyond Burger.
