As with most designers, Terhi Polkki has a story behind her award winning shoe designs. She obviously designs for the independent fashionista, but her shoes are still flirty and fun.
This collection called “The Heritage of the Empty Land” takes her back to the Northern country of Finland and Lapland. The collection is full of simple shapes and organic forms, pleats and straps. The footwear line features reindeer leather, hooves and heels made of curly birch.
