These sneakers are a part of the Wink collection for Reebok 2009. They feature patterns that are inspired by domesticity, like red gingham.
I find the collection very Alice in Wonderland and childlike. Red gingham trainers may look questionable now, but come spring I have a feeling I won't be the only ones sprinting towards these to try and get my hands on a pair.
Implications - As North American society becomes more saturated with new ideas, consumers are latching onto products which offer an old and familiar feeling.
