Mixed Punk-Style Streetwear Lines

Jieda's Fall/Winter 2019 Capsule Mixes Two Distinct Influences

Punk-style streetwear seems like a common combination in the world of contemporary fashion as brands increasingly start to borrow from the edginess of the punk movement and the flexible versatility of sporty ensembles.

This is exponentially evident in JieDa's Fall/Winter 2019 presentation during Tokyo Fashion Week. The brand extensively drew stylistic decisions from both categories of inspiration, mixing them in a balanced manner that produced "some disruptive silhouettes rendered in interesting color combinations of electric green, silver, maroon and tie-dye." The neon color pop in a lot of the ensembles offers a striking juxtaposition. Moreover, JieDa's punk-style streetwear also makes use of textural elements that increasingly add value to the clothing and infuse it with a highly engaging and interesting motif.
