Pulse by Electricfoxy Ensures People Don't Overdo Their Workouts

Fitness devices have paved the way for more wearable technology such as Pulse by Electricfoxy. Instead of tracking fitness goals like the Nike+ Fuelband and Fitbit One, this device monitors the wearer's heart rate. Worn around the finger just like a ring, it glows three different colors to signal if a person is in, above or below their target heart rate. It even vibrates to warn people if they are working too hard.

Backed by Artefact designer Jennifer Darmour, Pulse by Electricfoxy can also be paired with an accompanying iPhone app for a secondary level of fitness information. Darmour says, "Tracking and using your body data doesn’t have to be clinical, it can be beautiful and part of your lifestyle."
