The PocketMage is a clamshell personal digital assistant developed by Talisman Design that combines a 3.1-inch E Ink display with a compact OLED strip above a physical QWERTY keyboard. The handheld device runs a wizard-themed operating system that applies fantasy-inspired terminology throughout its interface while providing productivity tools including an ereader, calendar, text-based web browser, and file management. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB-C charging, and microSD storage support everyday connectivity, while the compact design is intended to fit comfortably in a pocket.
The PDA includes a digital tarot deck, a dungeon-crawling game called Mage's Descent, and access to a software marketplace known as the Bazaar for downloading additional applications. An E Ink display helps extend battery life to approximately one week between charges, while the OLED strip provides faster menu navigation. The device is available in parchment and royal purple finishes through a crowdfunding campaign.
