Like a tail for your bike, the 'Plume' mudguard recoils and extends to protect you from the elements. The sleek guard was designed in response to the lack of stylish and functional mudguards available. Plume extends outwards when you need it and effectively prevents debris from getting on your clothes. When not in use, it easily recoils into a small bundle right beneath your bike seat.
In addition to being extremely functional, Plume is also safe and durable. The mudguard is made out of stainless steel and flexible plastics in order to allow for rough use. In addition, the device secures tightly beneath your bike seat so that it can't be easily stolen.
Designers Patrick Laing and Dan McMahon are currently raising money to produce the Plume on Kickstarter.
