‘Origami In the Pursuit of Perfection’ tells the story of sneaker company Asics using origami created by Sipho Mabona of Mabona Origami. As the five-minute video continues, we’re taken through the original inspiration for Onitsuka Tiger and the first basketball shoe with suction cups on the soles up through to the success and technology of the contemporary Asics brand.

Throughout ‘Origami In the Pursuit of Perfection,’ Sipho Mabona’s crisp, beautiful origami and stop-motion animation illustrate the incredible story.

‘Origami In the Pursuit of Perfection’ was a project commissioned by the Nordpol+ Hamburg advertising agency. The movie was singled out at the Eurobest, New York festival and London International Awards.
