Nestled in the Napa Valley, Bardessono is the latest creation from eco-developer Phil Sherburne and architect Ron Mitchell.
Opened in February 2009, the luxurious eco-resort claiming to be the greenest luxury hotel in America features rammed earth walls, water treatment systems, and solar and geothermal energy systems. The buildings also include recycled cypress wood for the windows, doors, and floors.
Bardessono suites are designed to double as a private spa, each room equipped with air-jetted soaking tubs for two, massage tables hidden behind spa banquets and his and hers bathroom vanities and armoires. Garden level suites offer dual indoor shower-steam rooms as well as refreshing outdoor showers.
