For Fall 2009, design duo D&G dressed models in short tulip skirts and dresses. Always with an interesting idea about how women should look, this collection has a strong operatic feel with bustier dresses, brocade and jeweled fabrics, along with tulip skirts. On point with D&G's use of furniture fabric, Domenico and Stefano put on a strong show. As Dolce and Gabbana's would say, “The show must go on.â€
Implications - Luxury-minded consumers demand products that feature rich materials that will standout and catch attention, and collections such as this meet that requirement in spades. When you create a product that highlights craftsmanship and noteworthy style simultaneously, wealthy fashionistas are going to respond positively.
