Last fall, I wrote about Bentley’s ‘Power on Ice’ experience; not to be outdone, Lamborghini has announced its Lamborghini Academy, which aims to similarly let well-heeled drivers play with a supercar on a snowy foreign track.
Like Bentley’s ‘Power on Ice,’ classes at the Lamborghini Academy will cover over and understeering, controlled drifting and the racing line by brand-approved instructors. Attendees have the opportunity to drive the Lambo Gallardo LP 560-4 and the Murcielago LP 640 for two days around the track at Vallelunga or Adria Raceway in Italy--and you’ll get to take home video footage of your drive as proof.
There’s one enormous distinction between the Lamborghini Academy and Bentley’s ‘Power on Ice’ classes: Price. While Motor Authority quoted ‘Power on Ice’ prices between €7,590 and €8,990, attending the Lamborghini Academy will cost a scant (in comparison) €3,900.
