I really like this gallery of pictures taken of female bodybuilder Irene Andersen. Whether you like her style or not, you can’t deny that the pictures are compelling to look at. In its extremes, body building is of course a form of body modification. The images become even more astonishing when you learn Irene Andersen is a 44-year-old mother of three. Her look is also the result of her life’s work, having started bodybuilding at the tender age of only 15. I find bodybuilders fascinating out of the context of their sport, and am most certainly going to be keeping an eye out for Irene in the future (even though I don’t like it).
