The Intertwined Chairs by Kan & Lau is Strangely Romantic

The Intertwined Chairs have a strangely romantic quality about them. Coming in pairs, the two seats are flushed up against each other like an inseparable couple. What gives the Intertwined Chairs even more personality is the twisted detailing of one of their front legs. The legs intertwine together, hence their name, to become one. It is as though they are holding hands.

Created by Kan & Lau Design, a design studio based in China, the Intertwined Chairs was recently displayed at the 100% Design show during the London Design Festival. Made out of two different types of wood, each chair represents a different set of characters that have come together in harmony. Symbolic and aesthetically-pleasing, the Intertwined Chairs are utterly unique.
