'in.gredients Package Free Shopping' is creating a sustainable food revolution. Opening later this summer in Austin, Texas, the company looks to innovate grocery shopping. When hearing facts such as American landfills are daily filled with over 700,000 tons of garbage is placed, and 40% of that is from packaging. And when grocery stores only offer packaged foods, there is clearly a problem and in.gredients is offering the solution.

By removing packaging the company plans to reach its goal of, "creating the nation's first zero-waste, package-free grocery store." Customers will bring their own containers to the store (though the store also offers in-store reusable and compostable containers) and fill them at the store. The store is also taking other intiatives in order to reduce energy and waste such as buying and selling locally. The products sold are all in season and only contain pure ingredient without preservatives and artificial dyes. in.gredients is a great start to changing our consumeristic shopping tendencies.
