As much as I’m for everything green and environmentally conscious, it seems that eco-friendliness now leaves no part of life untouched. The latest in the green movement is Green Halloween.

Ashley English writes on Design*Sponge about how to make your own Green Halloween. From recycled costumes to using every last bit of that pumpkin, her recommendations are commendable. But it’s hard to celebrate the environment on a holiday that demands individually-wrapped candy.

When it comes to pumpkins, why not pick your own from a nearby patch? You’ll save fossil fuels used in long-haul transit, plus you’ll get to find the pumpkin that speaks to you personally (that does happen to others also, right?), all while enjoying the crisp Autumn air. (designspongeonline)
