Microsoft Responds to Mac with Jerry Seinfeld
References: geekologie
I love the "Get a Mac" commercials, mainly because 'Mac' is a hottie, but also because they are brilliantly directed.
At last Microsoft has decided they are not going to take them lying down, and have created their own series of adverts, starting with an ad campaign featuring "key celebrity pitchman" Jerry Seinfeld and and Bill Gates. Their aim is to reverse negative public opinion of Vista.
Apparently the creative concept is "Windows, Not Walls," stressing the need to "break down barriers that prevent people and ideas from connecting."
Clearly the Bill Gates / Seinfeld combination means the Microsoft adverts wont have any 'mac men' but you know "Bill's Last Day" (Bill Gates leaving film) video became a viral winner, so it could actually kick arse.
The $300 million campaign kicks off September 4th.
