Banksy Twists Classic Art into Modern Pop Culture Shock Exhibits

Banksy is having his first show at the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery since 2000. The Bristol Exhibition, which opens on June 19th, 2009, can be expected to show a lot of Banksy’s to-be-expected shocking and pop cultured art.

Expect stoic statues with smokes and coffees in hand, Muslim women with bikini-clad chef aprons, and classic art remixed to include iPods.

Banksy is one artist that has his finger on the pulse of what’s contemporary and knows how to translate that into some visually stimulating and heavy-messaged pieces.
