El Rancho Supermercado Announced In-House-Made Carnitas

El Rancho Supermercado has announced a new signature carnitas that's crafted in-house and prepared fresh each day in its kitchens to put a focus on authentic quality for shoppers to appreciate.

The dish is made using marbled cuts of pork butt that have been braised for hours before being fried to achieve a rich, savory flavor. The carnitas is suitable for enjoyment on its own or used in tacos by simply pairing it with the brand's fresh tortillas. The carnitas is being launched with a special promotional pricing at $6 per pound every Friday to encourage shoppers to pick some up.

VP of Prepared Foods at Heritage Grocers Group (HGG) Gil Diaz spoke on the El Rancho Supermercado's new in-house carnitas saying, "Our signature carnitas reflect El Rancho Supermercado’s dedication to tradition, culinary excellence and cultural authenticity. Expertly handcrafted and slow-cooked daily in a traditional cazo [saucepan], our carnitas are tender inside, crispy on the outside and perfectly seasoned to deliver a true taste of our culture in every bite. The prepared foods team in our Cocinas proudly maintains the same high standards and quality as the expert butchers in our meat department.”
