How many times have you needed just those extra few minutes on your cell phone and the power wasn’t there? A new gadget student entry for the 2009 James Dyson Award named the ‘Dyson Energy Bracelet’ offers you the opportunity to do just that by using “the thermoelectric effect to generate electricity to charge up your cell phone.”

All that is is a fancy way of saying the Dyson Energy Bracelet converts the difference in temperature between your body and the environment you’re in into energy for your cell phone.

All you have to do to use the Dyson Energy Bracelet is plug a wrist strap into a tiny USB port of the gadget and it charges up. This should give a several minutes of talk time when you need it.
