British architect Alex Michaelis designed and constructed the perfect family home complete with staircase slide, skylights, a rock-climbing wall and an indoor pool.

Each family member had a voice in the design of this eco-friendly home creating the ultimate at-home playground.

Designed to be self sustaining, this below-ground dwelling was built to let light shine into every room. A green roof that is completely covered with vegetation and soil helps filter out carbon dioxide, and provides insulation for the home.

For the kids, it meant (what else?) a slide, a climbing wall, and a Foosball table. The slide offers a speedy means of travel for the kids while still complementing the limestone staircase. (cookiemag)
