Dazed Dolls as a Social Statement

Digital mixed media art has become so ubiquitous that it is next to impossible not to run into it in one form or another.

However, it is also next to impossible not to admire and appreciate the beauty and the whimsical nature of some of these creations.

Consider the work in the gallery. The women portrayed here are presented as artificial puppets and lifeless, albeit beautiful, objects.

I’m sure there is a social statement being made here about the role of women; furthermore, I don’t know who the puppeteer is supposed to be here.
