Conversational Business Visualizations

Replit Skips SQL by Folding Atta's Charts Into Chat

Replit is integrating AI-generated business charts into its chat, letting users ask plain-language questions and receive visuals in the same workspace. The feature comes from 'Atta,' the AI analytics startup Replit acquired. Atta was built by Egyptian Omar Shaik and Tunisian Amine Ben Khalifa to help teams examine company performance without relying on specialist analysts. Both founders joined Replit as part of the deal.

By connecting to data stores such as BigQuery and Snowflake, the experience shifts routine questions from spreadsheet handoffs to a conversational prompt. Replit also handles the choice of analysis and chart type, so people can move from a performance question to a visual answer without writing SQL.

For brands, this points to business software that integrates analytics into the same environment where teams already work. Faster self-serve answers could reduce how often routine questions have to wait for a dedicated analytics workflow.
