The Collapsible Helmet Instantly Becomes the Size of a Book

Both strong and portable, the Collapsible Helmet instant collapses when not in use for easy storage. Desginer Michael Rose created the rugged helmet in order to let cyclists easily store and transport their safety gear. When collapsed, the helmet becomes the size of a book so that you can easily stow it away.

The Collapsible Helmet focuses on foldable layers of plastic in order to make it safe. Inspired by the Japanese art of origami, Rose designed the center of the helmet to fold and unfold into a compact disc. However, it is designed in such a way that it keeps its wearer safe during biking excursions.

When you're ready to put the helmet away, just unclip a strap, push the helmet into a compact package, and strap it back up. The resulting object can then be easily placed anywhere without taking up an excessive amount of space.
