Sustainable Deer Skin Watches

Oris and Cervo Volante Unveil New Big Crown Pointer Date Watches

Luxury watchmaker Oris has teamed up with Swiss deer leather brand Cervo Volante to launch the Big Crown Pointer Date, a new timepiece that will belong to the brand's ‘Change for the Better’ strategy.

The new watches' straps and packaging are made using Cervo's premium leather, which is produced from the annual cull of 15,000 red deer in Switzerland -- an invasive species in the country. Cervo was founded in 2017 specifically to "protect the Swiss countryside" by turning deer skins into sustainable footwear and accessories.

The actual timepiece features a 38mm stainless steel case and a striking gradient dial inspired by Switzerland's wintery and mountainous countryside. The Cervo Volante Big Crown Pointer Date watches are currently available to purchase on Oris' website.
