These images are from Erwin Olaf and are among some of the most striking I have seen. Solid black on black really does create an absolutely amazing effect. The photographs are from a collection called ‘Black,’ so there no surprises as to the artwork’s color scheme. They were shown as a stand-alone exhibition by the artist. Looking closely at these images you realize how unattractive the subjects would be if they were shown in color—and just how clever this photographer is for choosing to capture them in all black.
