This cheeky commercial for Beate Uhse TV, the parental controls for erotic TV viewing in Germany, is a sure attention-grabber. No wonder it took a Gold award at the 2008 New York Festivals Advertising Awards and was a winner at The Cresta Awards 2008.
Directed by Neels Feil and illustrated by Jost Keller, the commercial illustrates the effectiveness of these parental controls by showing an artist drawing what appears to be a naughty drawing. However, as the artist continues, the drawing turns out to be a kid-friendly fun cartoon.
The spot uses the copy, "You will see it. Your kids won’t."
I always like cheeky advertising, and this is a very entertaining example.
