Scientists in Australia, the world’s driest inhabited continent, have discovered that Kangaroo farts are eco-friendly because they contain no methane. Australia raises mostly cattle and sheep, notorious for emitting methane gases. So, scientists have come up with the idea of doing stomach bacteria implants, but it will take at least three years to isolate the bacteria. Then they will start to develop a way of implanting the bacteria in cattle and sheep.

Australia blames cattle and sheep for fourteen percent of its methane emissions and is willing to try anything to thwart the greenhouse effect.

Australian scientists are trying to give kangaroo-style stomachs to cattle and sheep in a bid to cut the emission of greenhouse gases blamed for global warming, researchers say. Thanks to special bacteria in their stomachs, kangaroo flatulence contains no methane and scientists want to transfer that bacteria to cattle and sheep who emit large quantities of the harmful gas.
