$16M 84 Carat Diamond Bought by Guess Founder (Follow up)

The diamond auctioned by Sotheby's brought $16.2 million. Weighing over 84 carats, at an auction called "Magnificent Jewels" in Geneva on November 14. This breathtaking gem got the highest possible rating from the experts who grade diamonds. They listed the stone as "D-color, Flawless Clarity, and "excellent" polish and symmetry.
Sotheby's says the gem is not named, but they have sold the largest "named" diamond - the Star of the Season - which was over 100 carats. A spokesperson for Sotheby's said in his 32 years experience, this was among the most beautiful diamonds he has seen.
