Digital U-Turn Camera Is Designed For Self-Taken Photos

A new addition to the world of gadget collectibles for children is Digital Blue’s U-Turn Camera, a digital camera that comes with fresh camera twists and features.

The U-Turn Camera is marketed for kids and preteens. It comes with a twisting lens which allows kids to snap self shots or capture moments they share with their BFFs. After the photo has been taken, it can be viewed in the 2.4 inch LCD screen which also swivels.

The camera’s interesting feature is the morph function that lets the user play with the images by distorting them using any of the 12 preset effects included. Some of these effects are the swirl, squatty view and stretchy head (a technological breakthrough for Digital Blue).

A total of 80 photos can be stored in the camera’s built-in memory, however, it was not mentioned whether a USB to mini USB cord and ports for linking up are included with the product so it’s not clear if the pictures can be uploaded to a PC or laptop.

The Digital Blue U-Turn digital camera is expected to be released in the spring, with a price of $49.99.
