The Rodarte Target Collection Isn't All That Practical

When a designer goes commercial you expect their new mass-produced apparel to be wearable, not pieces better worn for home lounging (if even that) like what the Rodarte Target collection is offering.

Among basic striped tops, a classic denim jacket, and chic semi-sheer cardigans were lace tights and floral panties—which would be fine if their original purpose was remembered by the Rodarte stylists. True to the underwear-as-outerwear look we’ve seen of late, the Rodarte Target line had the lace bottoms topped with a bra and the panties worn only with a shirt and vest. Refinery 29 comments, “Rodarte’s genius might have gotten lost in the commercial translation, but we’ll have to wait until December to get the last word in.”
